BEEN TO THIS HOTEL AND HAD A LOOK

Well in a good spot close to everthing in the city .

A bit of building work going on as they are haveing more rooms but very clean for what i saw .
Has a LIFT BIG ENOUGH for wheel chair near the lobby .

i went in a re done disabled room had a bath loads of room and a wet room type shower at other end of room .Clip togetor type beds nice beds but i spotted it that detail with out asking beds where high room would give it 85/90 % nothing wrong really .Room was in a green


They say its fully disabled freindley .
They do a saterday carvary lunch 2 courses £10 3 courses £13 menu look nice pity i could not had try it .Has a summer salad bar and lunch time drinks promotions
they where having a party in tonight in the nice bar area so could not have a coffee there as i might had done to get a feel for the place .

hall round main desk felt cold but it was 6.5 c in Cambridge tonight .

I think space wise its fine . Its not like the hilton little bit smaller

Room rates change daily late breakfast .
Would give it 95% as in good spot Atrium nice glass roof with a bar smaller then the hilton 80 parking places 3/4 disabled parking free for guests
cambridge a sudent city there where Students about . and round hotel .

Boy on desk tells theres space to sit and chat

15walk from train 5 min taxi ride 10 min slow walk from coach 5 min fast walk 5 min walk to middle of city nearley right if have wrong

tonight in Cambridge it was soo cold .And my friend has a river fronted home its was frezzing .down by the river which is soo nice in the sun .
So if we plan this and you want too go punting or down the river open top bus it needs too be warm weather and daylight not in Nov
shops in Cambridge are all over the place .

Well by Leicester standards it would be good i wish i could found out sooner it was there as i would had gone to look .bELIVE it might be hard to park there unless hilton has carpark . christine

The Hilton Hotel in Cambridge (Doubletrees) used to be the Garden House Hotel. Its down Mill Lane, opp. Downing Street where the Grand Arcade car park is accessed. NB. Mill Lane is nowhere near Mill Road! A lot of the Colleges are in that area and the main shopping centre is close by too. This hotel is more central than Gonville, but I agree driving in Cambridge can be hard work, but probably not unlike any other major town or city?

More central = more expensive?

Did you want me too look ???But i at home this week and then not about for 2 weeks .
but busy have loads of hospital apps

i would fancy the Hilton my self as it has a pool and the river cam is loveley busy river lots going on .

And i was impressed with the Leicester one and the food was good .

But then its costley for anything you fancy in that line .The other hotel would be fine for lunch and cheaper and not so posh .
Compaired with Hilton Hilton is the best .But nothing wrong with other hotel .
Hilton in winter as Leiscester was loveley and warm the other hotel cool but it was very cold .

you may have to wait till June for me to go .
